Student CV’s can be written from two perspectives: academic based or skills based. This largely depends on the type of job one is looking for after finishing school. When looking for ajob placement an academic based CV format would be advantageous. It showcases your academic qualifications and shows that you have the credentials and professional training to get the job done. The CV format should also show your skills. These skills should be matched with what the employer is looking for and you should illustrate an instance when you utilized the skills. Highlighting one’s skills especially what one learned from different courses while in school is one way of combining the two formats.
