Librarian CV

It is falsely believed that librarian CVs should demonstrate a love for reading. Employers will be more interested in your organizational and record keeping skills. Academic qualifications in library studies and experience within the library setting are obvious advantages. Additional skills such as analytical and problem solving skills are also desirable.

Since many libraries are switching from the manual systems to the computerized systems for keeping records it would be an added advantage to demonstrate developed computer skills. These can have been developed through formal education, work experience or as a part of your volunteer experience. Be specific about the skills you posses e.g. excel, databases, SPSS etc
