The number of restaurants is increasing. This can be attributed to the fact that more people desire to be self employed and many of these people are opting to open restaurants. This is good news for those who aspire to be and those who already are restaurant managers. There are no specific qualifications for restaurant managers.

Extensive experience working in a restaurant is desirable even if it is as a waiter or chef. In this case your restaurant manager CV should demonstrate to the recruiter that you have a good understanding about what it takes to run a restaurant, make it successful and maintain it. An academic qualification in management is an added advantage.
