A temporary chef is hired by a hotel/ restaurant to fill in for a line chef when he/she is away. Temporary chefs are assigned the same duties as line chefs. Accordingly, the chefs oversee particular kitchen segments. They oversee the preparation of meat, pastry and vegetable dishes.
