Doctors’ CVs should be updated as regularly as possible. Of course the CVs main purpose is to apply for jobs but it is also important not only in obtaining short listings but as the main source of information in the interview. Doctors CV formats are unique when compared to other career CVs. The CV samples contain as much as 16 pages of information compared to other CV samples which can be 1 or 2 pages long.
The details in the CV should be specific. Don’t be lured into scribbling your CV in 5 minutes. In today’s world of medicine, recruiters are steadily raising the bar. A few tips include keeping your CV up to date, following a recognized structure for presenting your data and last but not least is being honest. Writing your medical CV in the correct manner and using a recognized approach is therefore vital and it also helps to know what the recruiter might be looking for in his assessment.
